I ruptured my membrane. Is there a way to repair it?

We have not found a reliable way to repair membrane once it has ruptured. We have tried liquid silicone, all types of bonding agents, super glues, etc. Some of those repairs might work for a few more uses, but almost always fail. In some cases, you may get by for a short time by using duct tape on both sides of the membrane if the hole is not in the high use or “image area.” We recommend keeping all ruptured membrane and not discarding it. You can almost always find another use for it. They work well inside cabinets and drawers as liners. They also make great mats for gun cleaning. You can cut them and use them as stencils for painting. You can cut them out and use them to help grip stubborn lids on jars. There are just too many uses to list.
